Stupid Malaysian with their stupid Act

Damn it.
Malays are so stupid. Melayu dengan Melayu pun nak tipu jugak. Apa da.. Patut la bangsa tak maju.
And I myself was so stupid. Damn it. Was tricked into giving 150 bucks to this dealer (poser really) from CELCOM to register for postpaid service. Argh.. I can’t think. How can I be so stupid. Kata aje kerja tersohor kat Petronas. Status business planner. Tapi bodohnya memang tak terkata.
I am so gonna get this guy. Damn it. Memang tak halal la. I hope you rote in hell man. Better still, I do hope you get knocked down by a car and suffer the most tragic accident known to human. Or even better, get hit by lightning, mob by some people on the street, strip naked and molested. Argghh… Stupid Suhana and her stupid stupid act.
I will not trust a single soul after this.

My Valentine Dinner

So, it was another Valentine’s Day yesterday.

I went to Pusat Bandar Damansara in the morning to get my passport done, and came to the office at around 11 am. Well, good exemplary of a dedicated worker huh. When we came into the glamorous twin tower, our gaze was nonetheless centered to the chocolates and the bouquets of flowers that people were holding, while in my heart, I was so hoping that when I reach my cubicles, I would be warmed with surprise. Heck, it didn’t happen.

So, there I was occupying my day with lots and lots of work and non-work related stuff (while still hoping for a phone call, or even sms ….which did not happen). I got fed up. Went off at around 7.30pm and decided to spend my time in Kinokuniya. I can’t go back early during Valentine’s Day feeling sorry for myself right. So, I gave VadderVeder an sms .. wishing him Happy V-Day. And guess what.. he asked me out. Guess what he said:
“I know it’s unromantic of me, but can I ask you out on a romantic dinner?”
It was such a turn on. Hehe.. Anyway …

It was pure traffic madness outside, so we decided to dine in this Sudanese restaurant in Level 4, KLCC. The setting was quite romantic with the dim light on, candles on the table, couples, etc.

How do I rate the whole evening?
Well Suhana.. cut him some slack. He is a really good guy, funny, and charming. It was the best Valentine dinner so far (Well, mostly because it was my first)

At least, I got one item knocked down from my 2006 To Do List.
2006 To Do List Item No: 16. Celebrate Valentine’s Day (DONE)

VDay D' Day?

Forgive me for being ignorant. Forgive me if what I say here will offend others. We might not share the thought, but I wish to voice my opinion out loud anyway. This may irritate you, and if you do, drop a comment and just disagree. Speak up and make me UNDERSTAND you.

Valentine day is celebrated for… (clueless??). Well, this is what my friend forwarded to myself earlier.

Hmm. So, amidst all these, how did he come to be associated with a celebration of love and amore`? After much researching (which mostly tell me the same thing in different version), I have gone deep into the history of St Valentine.

St. Valentine was a temple priest, who was jailed for defiance, about the year A.D. 269, during the reign of Claudius the Goth. Emporer Claudius was having trouble recruiting strong young men for his army and believed that marriage was the culprit. He believed it made the men weak. This St. Valentine was said to have performed many secret marriages of young lovers, despite an edict that marriage was illegal. When Claudius first heard about Valentine he tried to convert him to his paganism. In turn Valentine attempted to convert Claudius to Christianity. When his effort failed the poor fellow was stoned and beheaded! Whoever he was, we know he was an actual person because archaeologists have unearthed a Roman catacomb and an ancient church dedicated to a Saint Valentine. In 496 AD Pope Gelasius marked February 14th as a celebration in honor of his martyrdom.

Well then, which version is true? Did we ‘unintentionally’ twist the story around because we are not comfortable in learning the fact that Valentine’s Day is celebrated in honor of a Christian martyr? Would it make much different if a Muslim was celebrated instead?

I have never celebrated Valentine’s Day before. Not because I don’t think that it was not proper, but because I never had the luxury to do so. But some of my friends were reluctant to commemorate the day because it was not right in Islamic perspective. I am just way too confused.

I don’t think honoring a Christian devoted means that you are less Islamic (If my version is true la). I believe that we have to respect other people regardless of their belief and religion. If that person has done well to humanity, he/she deserve the praise and respect that goes along with that. Take Mother Theresa as a close example.

Hmm … What do you think?

ps. Here I am waiting anxiously for VDay. Celebrating VDay is part of my 2006 To Do List. Damn. One task that I don't think I can ever complete.

Wohoo... By Far The Best

My day was awesome

I woke up at around 7 am to an exciting brand new day. Had to catch the train to Bukit Jalil early since I don’t have a car to commute around. My chauffer brother was still tuck in his bed, and my dad is still at the surau, so I had to take the cab to the train station. These were the times when I so wish that a. I can drive b. I so need a boyfriend. Well, it is taking me forever to learn how to drive. At least I got my L license, so I am just halfway there, aight.
Anyway, met up with my best friend, the gorgeous Salwa Izani at the Bukit Jalil station. There, we were like these two lost hot chicks looking at the map upside down. Err… luckily my collegue, Ismadi spotted us and hitch us a ride.
Then, the excitement began. Hear yee hear yee…I am no sharp shooter (though I did shot a few people down), I ran like a girl, and our team lost 0-4. Ei.. We played fair and square la, not sure about the other team though. But, it was a heavy sack of fun. They say that when the pallet hit you, you’ll be screaming out of pain (Hence the name PAINt ball). I was actually screaming out of joy for taking bullet on my chest.. and leg.. and hand.. and head.. argh that was a real pain. I think the more hit you get, the more fun you are having. I was like GI Jane II running here and there for cover. Man… we were the Vietcong and Nazis War Heroes in the battefield… wah ha.

Leg check. Hand check. Head is intact. I am good for the next escapade.
Ok, next head off to Summit for Rock Climbing session.
Meet up with Fiza and Yahya, and the four of us was off on another adventure.
We arrived at about 3 pm at Summit. I was actually pretty excited to see the cute instructor there upon arrival, and he somehow still recognized me. Huhuu.. and remembered my name. Another huhuu…
Fiza chickened out (a waste la dear), and there she was with Yahya watching us hot chicks do the climbings. I don’t know whether I was just too tired from the previous paint ball session, or I was just too lazy (ah haa.. that is the best explanation there is), but I was more comfortable doing most of the belaying than climbing. Wawa has improved a lot. Even the cute instructor was commenting on her good climbing skills (Did I say mention cute AGAIN.. opsie).
He went up to us holding someone’s baby. That is so sweet and fatherly of him la. And when he **** *** *** ***** (sensored for unsuitable viewership), I was going uuhhh and aahh. Me and Wawa were smiling and exchanging looks. Hmm. Two strike so far. Everything is going well.
Well, I sorta has this bet with Wawa, which has yet to materialize. She’s counting so much on it :). Maybe third strike lucky? If I still have the energy for this la. I know Wawa is really into rock climbing nowadays. Me.. Okla.. I do enjoy it, it’s just that there are still a lot of other things that I need to cross out from my 2006 List of Things to Do.
We took pictures, lots of it in case we don’t come back. Well, there’s another test to complete before I become a certified belayer (so far, I have completed 2 out of 3). Maybe, I would finish that one off, then do the next one on my To Do List.. White Water Rafting sometime in April/June maybe? We’ll see.

We went off at about 7.30 pm, had dinner and came back to Fiza’s at around 9.30 pm. We were so damn tired, that I had to cancel swimming. I so don’t want to get cramp in the pool.

It was a lot of fun… I’ll post some pics up. Later…

Rock Climbing Edition II

Me and Sobhi discussing strategy.. Ahaks

Uh... Ah.. Man can I climb!!
